One of the ministry’s tasks is related to the Danish cultural heritage in the broadest sense. A large part of the Danish cultural heritage is located on the country’s museums. But also the preservation of ancient monuments and buildings are covered by the effort to preserve the common heritage.

LIVE RIGA is an organization engaged in tourism promotion and popularization of tourism opportunities in Riga. The organization belongs to Riga City Council, airBaltic, Latvian Hotel and Restaurant Association, and the Latvian Travel Agents’ Association.

THE KONRAD-ADENAUER-STIFTUNG, LATVIA OFFICE

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is a political foundation. KAS’s civic education programs aim at promoting freedom and liberty, peace, and justice and focus on consolidating democracy, on the unification of Europe and the strengthening of transatlantic relations. Konrad Adenauer (1876-1967) was the first chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Danish Cultural Institute promotes cultural exchanges and informs about Denmark and supports projects that aim at long-term cooperation between foreign and Danish cultural institutions, artists and other professionals. The activities are coordinated through our head office in Copenhagen and branch offices in 10 countries.

VELUX FOUNDATIONS

VILLUM FONDEN and VELUX FONDEN are both non-profit foundations established by Villum Kann Rasmussen, an industrious Danish engineer who invented the VELUX skylight window. Among the grant areas are science, environmental, social and cultural purposes in Denmark and abroad.

  • Support for a conference in Hamburg with participation of maritime museums from countries around the Baltic Sea.

The aims of the foundation are to support the Danish cause north and south of the border, to work for the closest possible union or co-operation between Denmark and the other Nordic countries; to promote Danish shipping and industry; to support science, particularly medical science and finally to make contributions to causes in the public good.
